what the science say does that contradict christians beliefs

When considering whether the Bible is true versus secular scientists, bear in mind that even if they completely win every point, they don't "misprove" the religion.

The parts of the Bible the scientists conflict with is the beginning. Genesis. But Genesis is written in an almost dreamy way. The writing style is very different from the rest of the Bible.

So many Christians don't take it literally. The dust could figuratively mean some carbon, or God may have literally made us from dust with normal composition of other nasty stuff.

Many people like to take Genesis literally though. I like to, and do, and will until I see very clear evidence for evolution. But even if they prove it wrong for sure, it's fine. Genesis's has no effect on how we live our lives, or our relationship with God, or whether the religion is a lie.

It may have been meant as a metaphor from the very beginning. It was written for the Hebrews. Do you think that if God made us all through evolution, that he would explain that to the Hebrews the same way he explained it to us? Of course not! What is the closest thing to carbon that the Hebrews knew of? Dust!

humans werent created.

we consist of lots of things, carbon being one of them.

different christians believe different things.

some find that the fact of evolution fits in well with what they believe, some try and deny it because they dont like the idea... but it remains that there is no debate among scientists about evolution.. the whole scientific community agrees on it.

many christians accept evolution, and see god and the one who started it all... the so called "first cause" ...

i however do not think there is a god.
