It is not a right and I am not sure why you asked. It SHOULD be a right but those who have tried to make it so have been faught tooth and nail. Wait until you are a bit older and cannot get health insurance.

right for who?do you go to the doctor when you are sick?or will you just lay there and die?would you let your child die?you may not know this but in spite of all the free clinics and services out there some people right here in america can not get a doctor a hospital even when they are trully sick and those people suffer greatly those are the same people who work everyday and pay taxes so everyone else has this service.let me just tell you of two instances that i personally know of.a woman was in the hospital corrider with labor pains no ins,not enought cash to make a down payment they let her walk the corriders for three days in labor untill she died.they sent a man homr who was having a heart attact because his ins liked three days being in affect,he died.a woman had her jaw out of place and had wait two hours for a doctor to see her only to be told you need a post dated check your ins. wont cover this.those are only a few of real events that happen everyday somewhere everyday in this country .work as a volunteer in any hospital and you would be shocked. thats why everyone should have health care.and yes it is a right the bill of rights say in prusuit of health happeness and liberty.

When the federal government mandated that any hospital with an emergency facility has to provide treatment for any one who shows up - illegal aliens included.
It's called "The Federal Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act."
Unfortunately, illegal aliens use this provision for their primary care to such an extent that, at last count, it is costing Florida $165 Million annually, Texas $330 million, California $450 Million and in Cochise County in Arizona alone, the Health Department is spending over30% of its annual budget on illegal health care costs.
This "right" may be morally right, but financially, its becoming an expense that's hard to ignore any longer and simply over burdening our emergency facilities.

Legally speaking, healthcare is still not a right. The arguement for it being a right comes from a question of the morality of allowing large numbers of people to go without basic care when the potential exists for them to receive it. Basically, how can the richest nation on the planet not provide its people with basic health care? It's not a right by legal definitions. The question becomes is it a right by moral definitions.

Ever since the Democrats decided that was the issue that was going to put them back in power. So far, it seems to be working!

When someone, who cannot afford to see a doctor, passes on
a contagious to you, you'll understand why.
What about the embryos that weren't aborted - those babies
need regular check-ups or should they go without because
the Mom had to spend her last dollar on shelter, diapers &
bills?
Public assistance may pay for baby formula - but that's where
it stops.
Or how about just plain decency for mankind.

Our nation is the ONLY industrialized country in the world that doesn't provide free heathcare to its citizens.
America should be ashamed to have so many people making the choice between paying for food or paying for medicine.
We have $500 BILLION DOLLARS fr the IRAQ WAR DISASTER, but we don't have money to send our people to the doctor -- how f****ked up is that, I ask you?

It's not a right, but neither are lots of other things we all pay for. I'd rather finance healthcare for everybody than anybody's war!

It isn't.
A right does not consist of getting a benefit or service paid for by the forced taking of another person's money or by forcing them to perform said service.

It is not. If they want it as a right, there are many countries that give it to their citizens. Looks to me like they should start packing their bags!
