Question: How old are you? If you are under five, please do not read comments below. If you are above the age of five, the following applies to you: It means, lets see, how will he eat me? All it means is she finds you sexy. If she doesn't look at you, she wants to both flirt, and also if you take it the wrong way, she can say, oh sorry, was just joking around/being friendly/trying to help. Looks like she is an expert flirt, because those leave wonder, does she or doesn't she. Honestly, being a woman, I'd put my money on her mind wondering how you will eat her, her two apples/pears. I wouldn't feed a man for any other reason. Not only they can feed themselves, but if the world is run by men (unless hillary is elected president), why also feed them too?

I think we just get more lazy, first it was sms text that abbreviated english to such a point that you might miss it all together. Then came online chatting which appears to be alphabet soup at best.

If I had to sit down and write a letter I might faint before I conclude the first page or require surgery for the writer’s cramp.

So here’s to better writing!!!!!

hmmmm is not a word, it is a sound. It does not have a direct meaning, but usually one would use it when they are thinking about something.

"I'm thinking about it"
"Keep your shorts on"
"I have no idea what you're talking about"
"I do not know"
"I don't agree, but I don't want to argue with you"

Gosh, it's a really useful word isn't it?
P.S Does is spelled DOES not dose.
-MM

It is a sound, not a word.
I think someone is trying to come up with the right words to say when they say hmmm.

Well, I'm not sure how else one would attempt to spell that noise you make while you're thinking about something!

It's used to indicate you're thinking about something and don't know what to say yet.
