I am 40+ and I have been watching the Simpsons since the Tracy Ullman show. I think they portray the most realistic family on television. I love it's honest portrayals of timely issues such as gay marriages, ADD,alcoholism,death,etc.
I just always thought it was beyond most young kids, though.

I personally like Family guy WAAAAAAY better. Simpsons were fine when I was younger..

the Simpson's are familiar liking visiting your parents years after you move out. i always stop to watch when flipping channels.
