If you've got fair hair as well, there is a brown mascara that would look really nice. The idea of mascara is to make your lashes more noticeable. Unfortunately, most people's mascara is too obvious. Get a little trial size of brown and experiment. Don't forget to brush out the clumps! My pet peeve.

I wear black now because I dyed my hair and eyebrows black! Im fair skinned and I always used brown/black, or brown... This is when I was blonde (it had a natural appeal to it)! You can also play with funky colors like purple, blue, green, etc... I usually dont use these (just not my thing anymore)! There is also clear Mascara if you are worried about looking "un natural"! I think Brown/Black is a definate winner for fair skinned beauties!

If you are fair-skinned and have light hair, then black mascara is harsh, especially if your eyelashes are also light. Try using brown or brown/black mascara. If you are looking to go a little bolder, then try a plum or blue mascara. You get a fun look!
Experiment and see what looks good on you. Hope this helps!

If you are very fair, then use brown. The black is probably too harsh. I am sorta fair and I use a black/brown mascara, which may work for you too. Its not quite as light as the brown and not as harsh as the black. I believe they also make like a light black or grey color, which could work too. What color eyes and hair do you have?

If you are a blonde, go with a brown mascara-they make it. If you have red hair, you can really go for either black or brown (depending how dark your eyebrows/eyelashes are and if it would match your face). If you are a brunette, wear black.
What color is your hair? And if you have fair skin, you'd look fine with black if you wore some pinky blush, and maybe a pretty color to bring out your eyes.

I'm fair skinned, with grey eyes and strawberry blonde hair. My eyelashes are very light-blonde, as are my brows. Most mascaras for blondes and redheads have been too "cheesy-colored," if that makes sense. I use a black-brown, but I always wipe the brush with a tissue before applying. That way, my eyelashes are simply accentuated, but don't look like caterpillars.

i am fair skinned as well, and I usually wear dark brown mascara. It doesn't look washed out or too harsh.

I wear black, soft black and brown as my main colors. Alamay has a new line with where you pick out your colors according to your eye color. My eye color is brown and they had purple mascara and it looks great on me! I would have never of thought of that. Experimenting with make-up is good. You don't have to put it on too heavy either. My friend who is fair skinned tried a reddish brown color and it looks nice. She puts it on in a way that looks subtle.
