this week a man was again sentenced for rape in ireland. this is the second time he's been sentenced for such a crime here and he was also sentenced for sexual abuse in england in the 80s. why was a man like this ever allowed out? there must be tests and appraisals which show that this man is not safe to be let free in society. shouldn't he be in prison for the rest of his life besides being free to prey on women again and again?

should be in prison for the rest of his life. They let these criminals off way to easy. The victims will never be the same therefore neither should the criminal. Let them die in prison

Its because of that stupid concept of human rights. You aren't allowed to detain people longer than sentenced by the court, and the government won't use up money giving out more life sentences.

Rapists should get life in prison, and i mean till they die and murderers should get imprisioned for 6 months to appeal, incase they are innocent, if the evidence is 100% accurate then they should be hung. The same goes for child abusers.

you didnt tell the sentence. first it depends on circumstance and who they rape. but most deserve a longer sentence. somtimes life brings justice. a guy i grew up with raped a woman that probably would have gave it to him,his sentence was light in terms of prison. but he caught AIDs in prison and died.

This is a long sentance for somebody or you to write it is detailed but i think if you rape women you should be senticed in jail for life

if a man were to be given a life sentence for rape, why wouldn't he kill the only witness to the crime?

thats nothing... they just sentenced a guy in vermont to only parole, no jail time, after he sexually assaulted a 4 year old boy.

i think it is not long enough. thay should made him stay in jail till he was 96 so he couldn't rape any more women. I dont see how they get pleasure by putting someone else in so much pain!
