I don't think so Ainge has matured into a great quarterback but he is inconsistant. If you look at his numbers he is not consistant enough to win the heisman. Like the Rex Grossman of the NCAA. But not as bad as Grossman. Yes they are a top ten team next year but top five is pushing it.

No, on both accounts. The Vols have too much damage control to do to be a Top 5 team next year. As for Ainge, the only chance he'd have of winning the Heisman without a decent receiver to throw to would be to throw a bunch of flats and flares and screens that couldn't possibly be dropped and have enough blocking to let the receiver pad their and his yardage/TD stats. Besides, with McFadden coming back to Arkansas and being the front-runner for the Heisman, no one would pay enough attention to anyone but him until late October or so. If Tennessee can pull off SEVERAL miracles, he has a small chance. Otherwise, forget it and hope the Vols finish about 8-4 and go to the Peach Bowl, because with their needs at O-line, WR, the kicking game and a couple of important spots on defense where there's little depth, plus the daunting schedule ahead, I don't see more than 8 wins possible for this club in '07.

Sorry that's highly unlikely. He will have to play lights out to win the Heisman, not to mention have Tennessee in the national championship hunt. I think you just mentioned a major reason why he won't win it; his best target just left for the NFL.

When's the last time an SEC QB won the Heisman? Peyton Manning was great and even he couldn't win it.

you have have been given Sanchez, Tebow, and McCoy... If basically one in each and every of their communities is going undefeated interior the familiar season, their participant will win the Heisman. If Florida is going undefeated, Tebow gets it no count what. USC has a lots greater durable schedule next 365 days, if Sanchez can lead the group to the NCG he merits outstanding 3 status. although i think of Tebow will win it.
