Make music (sing, play guitar, write songs), perform sold-out concerts to throngs of adoring fans and sell billions of CDs (going platinum would be cool...)
Paint pictures (mostly portraits & figures, some animals, acrylic on canvas), show in galleries & sell paintings & become a world-renowned artist.
Travel & photograph the world & be shown in National Geographic and have a book of my photos published.
Be an actress in film & on tv. Be rich & famous.
Write the great Canadian novel. Be a best-selling, pulitzer prize-winning author whose novels become blockbuster films which I can also direct & star in (ok that may be a bit much! I'll let Ridley Scott direct my epic! & I'd also cast Anjelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage & Charlize Theron in the film...Tee hee)

Oh it would be beautiful! I'd settle for any one of those! I'm leaning toward music & art these days though!

But for now I work at a job I hate just to pay the bills & I have my dreams as hobbies on the side. Work is just a living. My dreams are my life.

It would be exactly what I am doing now. I am an investor and a gentleman farmer.

Where my lovely wife and I live is both peaceful and beautiful. We are surrounded by trees, flowers (in season) and wildlife of many kinds. We have plenty of time to indulge in various hobbies and to travel, both overseas and on the American continents.

Both my wife and I are also published writers. Writing is fun, but so far has produced only a trickle of money. Maybe one of my wife's books will hit it big one of these days. She's dedicated, and a very good writer. I have neither her talent nor her dedication, but I do write a bit just for the fun of it.

I would own a huge theatre complex where people of West Indies, international and diverse groups would be invited to explore an American identity and rich cultural heritage. It would be a place for art, poetry reading, story telling in the oral tradition, plays and dance theatre and music. I would also own a gym and health fitness club.

give advice/opinion

I used to write an editorial column in a small newspaper and I loved getting people's feedback. I know everyone thinks their opinion matters *ahem*....obviously, but if I could get paid for the satisfaction of making people think differently or think a little harder at all it would be great. That's my 2¢.

An advice columnist.

A professional musician in a hugely successful 4- or 8-part swing choir that tours the world.

Maybe both.

Run a sanctuary for abused and unwanted animals of every species, while educating youngsters about the animal kingdom and how to keep the human race from wiping them from the face of the earth.

If it somehow included travel, photography, and reading I'd be all up for it, as long as I could take my boyfriend (he'd be my husband by then) with me. I wouldn't want a job where I couldn't see my family all the time. So I'll be a teacher, like I planned.

I'd be a writer not suffering from writer's block. I'd also own and operate a small, coffee-lounge type bookstore, draped in deep rich colored velvets and silks. It would smell of frankincense in there and peope would come in to my store to read or write or draw or paint or even nap.

How incredibly amazing does that sound?
