First of all, whenever you allow anyone to connect to your computer, their is always the possibility of someone doing something malliscious to your PC, but, this is remote. If you want to protect yourself, make sure that you are comfortable with allowing someone to connect to your PC, and do not install any programs that your are not familiar with. Ensure that you have a good firewall program as well as updated and maintained anti virus software. With these precautions in place, you should be safe.

well if you dont have a firewall on the pc, any good hacker could haev a field day with your pc, a hacker could get your ip address if you use voice with them or sent them a file.
so as long as you have an up to date firewall you will be fine.
