I think you meant 'theme.' There are several themes in Frankenstein. First and foremost, just because science CAN do something, does it mean it SHOULD do something, i.e. creating the creature.
Also, the contrast between Victor and his creation. Victor is a man of science and knowledge, while the creature is a 'man' of emotion and observation. Mary Shelley is pointing out the vast differences between the age of enlightmentment (i.e. emotion) and the age of reason (i.e. science.)
Those are just a couple of the themes that I can remember. It's an excellent novel.

I think that it tried to show us that humanity judges someone from their looks because even when he was just an experiment he had a good heart and he becomes a real monster because of the way everybody else treats him.
