Ok. First..this is NOT spam..I need answers!
I paint my own nails. I take plain fake full cover nails and paint them. I get all sort of compliments all the time, and people tell me that I should sell them, on Ebay or online. I am looking for input on this. I LOVE making them, but I don't know if they are actually marketable.
I am leaving links to look at some. This is just a very small sample, as I forget to take pics most of the time. The pics are not real clear, sorry...IF I was to sell them through Ebay or whatever, I would have hubby take pics with his camera.
Will you look and tell me :
a. Would you consider buying nails like these?
b. If so, how much would you be willing to pay for them?
c. Would you be more willing to buy them if you got to pick a color theme yourself? http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q233/shellz14Coe/nails.jpg

Thanks so much for all the answers so far. I decided making them myself because I got tired of all the same designs that are on the market. I looked and looked to try and find something different than the same old ones. I have so much fun being able to match them to friend's dresses, girls prom dress colors, wedding colors, holidays, etc. That way they are different than anything for a fraction of what you would pay to have them at a salon. :-) I love doing it! Thanks again to everyone's answers!

Your nails are very pretty.I really like the 1st set.Yes I would pay for them a set 8.00.Keep up with your friends 1st and if you want to go further in with this give out cards or something you don't want to give all your money up by going to shops or e-bay.You will make lots of money through friends and family. Then the walk inns will come get ready I see something that's going to work.

Personally I don't use fake nails, because I have my own. I have seen some very lovely false nails, but they are not for everyone. Someone I knew used them once and it resulted in an infection in her cuticles and nail bed. It took her forever to get rid of the infection. I don't know if she abused them in some way or if she suffered some reaction, but her hands look terrible until they healed. She still has sunken places in the nail bed from the adhesive. I think you should provide information about the adhesive you use and warnings about the possibility for allergic reactions. This way you can't be held liable in any way.

You know, I don't really wear fake nails b/c I like to grow my own but I really do want to tell you that I think it's a great business idea! I don't think I've ever heard of anyone doing that. It would be wonderful for people who don't have time to sit in the actual salon and get them done. I think $10-$12 (plus S&H) would be a good price range. I hope you do well with it! :-D

it's not that these nails aren't pretty, because they are. but CVS and beauty supply stores sell these painted press ons for about $2- $5 dollars. people could just as easily buy the large vaierties already out there at these places. they even come with nail glue. you just press them on and go!
