If you were in Thomas' shoes, would you have left phoenix for the shite house clippers?

It depends what he cares about more, winning a championship or getting paid. The Suns have to many high paid players: Steve Nash, Amare Stoudamire, Shawn Marion, Raja Bell, Leonardro Barbosa, Kurt Thomas etc. and they couldnt offer him much money. But the clippers have no chance of getting to the championship considering they way they are playing now although they have plenty of money to pay him. The Suns are the second best team in the league record-wise and are definetly in contension for the title. But the money the Clippers offered him won him over and he decided to forget about winning a championship with the Suns and went for the big bucks with the Clippers.

Tim Thomas may have left for reasons not known to the common basketball fan. Plus The Suns are not a championship team yet. The regular season is so different than the playoffs. I've seen teams win 60+ games in the regular season and not win the NBA title. Conversely I've seen teams win the NBA title with a regular season record of barely 50 wins. However, there is no doubt the Suns are a much better team than the Clippers. But at the time I'm sure the deal looked very appealing. The Clippers had just come off the deepest play-off run in the history of the franchise. Everyone picked them to do it again. Presently they're not doing so well. He was at a point in his career where you choose money or a team in the running for a championship. He chose the money. Does anyone disagree?

No Tim Thomas is actually very Smart
He got paid more and he doesn't have to start or hit 3 pointers to bail the suns out in the playoffs again.

Plus the suns won't win a championship either DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE MAN!!

San antonio and dallas are better than suns Houston, denver and La Lakers could also take the suns to 7 games.

The Suns suck on the defensive side of the ball. The clippers took them to 7 games last year.

So he getting paid more and doing less sounds like a good job to me

If the pay is better, yep.

No one cares about a role player on a championship team, so if he makes more money outside of Phoenix, he's smart to take it. You can't eat a championship ring.
