It won't fall much farther, all the people who support him now are his forever. Anyone with half a brain decided a while ago that he was an idiot, anyone still left on his side is one of his blind sheep who will always think he is right, even though all evidence points in the other direction. his own cabinet members are cutting ties with him left and right, everyone must be wrong but Bush!
He could burn down the US tomorrow, and they would find a way to make it acceptable.

I'm no fan of the guy, but historically, approval ratings usually go up a little bit shortly after SOTU.
According to the American Research Group, the reactions to the speeches themselves have been lower each year from 2003-2006. These are the surveys that take place during the speeches. You may have seen these surveys, with the dial that the subjects use to rate their interest levels. Each year the speech has rated overall lower on average. However, the president still gets a small "bounce" in the approval rating afterward. It doesn't usually last long, though.

It will be interesting to see two things:
First, for once, he will only have one crony behind him in Cheney instead of two. So it wont seem like every one is always agreeing with him.
Secondly, it will be interesting when he mentions his plan for Iraq and Duncan Hunter, Dick Cheney, Barney the Dog and Laura are the only people in the room that give him a standing Ovation, while everyone else just fidgits in their seats, wondering how late the Captial White Castle is open to tonight.

he will go up then back down again because he has not fulfilled all that he promised in last years state of the union. That was in yahoo news this morning..
i hope he has a plan that would be great for a change. But he has to do something before he leaves office. maybe we will have a war break though

His dropping ratings are not as critical as the Rep's in Congress finally asking him to put some clothes on.

Its amazing that the man is pronounced guilty before he speaks a word. Is that not being judgmental and arrogant?

They really can't go much lower.
What are there now? Four people who still support him?

I'm beginning to wish there was still a "thumbs-down" option for questions.
