I have a very close friend living in Kiev, Ukraine and she asked me to find prices for her to study English at an accredited university In the USA. She speaks English very well, and worked in the states last summer. She is graduating her university in July 07'; any insight would be greatly appreciated.:-)

See if she can enroll at a community college or a state school. They should be the cheapest, but tuition ranges widely. She will need to take the TOFEL and apply, and tuition will range tremendously for schools. Some universities such as Williams will provide financial aid to international students and others do not. My advice is for her (or you) to call different universities and see what she would need to do. I would start with your local state university and any private schools near where she wants to live.

My estimate would be around $30,000+ a year.

She might not be able to study a long course of English at a university because TOEFL scores are usually required to enroll. An intensive program would be a place like the Language Studies International, where 30 week program in New York costs about $9,000. Berlitz also has multiple immersion schools scattered abou the country, but I don't know their prices. You might want to check online for language schools.
