Well, you can choose among adolf, stalin, fidel, mao. They are in a tight score. Adolf killed more people, no doubt, but fidel has been 48 years harming people in many ways, whereas adolf was, I believe only twelve. stalin also eliminated nobody really knows how many. It is difficult to choose the worst

Yes, Adolf Hitler is definitely one, with his killing of approximately 12 million people, but Josef Stalin is believed to have been responsible for close to 20 million deaths. I'm not sure what Spanish dictator Francisco Franco's body count was, but Mao Zedong certainly killed his millions as well, between the Communist takeover of China in the 1940's and the Cultural Revolution of the 1960's.
Let's not forget Pol Pot's reign of terror in Cambodia, either--estimates of his victims reach as high as 3.5 million, which seems small in comparison to the others until you factor in that it was roughly half of the population of his country.

Both Hitler and Stalin were cruel dictators. Both of them had millions of people killed, including people from their country. Stalin killed more people than Hitler, so I would say Stalin was the cruelest dictator of the 20th century.

Although there were many cruel dictators in the 20th century...Adolf Hitler was by far the most cruel. There is debate about that. Hitler was the WORST!!!!!!!!

Stalin - 30 million plus killed
Mao - 30 million plus killed
Hitler - 21 million killed in Europe
Hideki Tojo - 8 million
Pol Pot - 2 million
Take your pick. My vote is for the first 2.

How would you rate them? Stalin, Mao. Pol Pot, Hitler, North Korean dictators dad and son. BY Nuber killed? Terrorizing their own people?

Stalin was perhaps the worst dictator to his own people. Millions of his own people were sent to death by his command.
