There had to be a First Cause. If you don't like the term "God" then call it a big old ball of eternal energy or whatever you like but Something, some entity pre-existed everything & brought things into being. This "thing" didn't have to be created. It always was. It has no beginning or end. Hence the term First Cause.
So you might like the big bang evolutionary theory. Ok, these things popped up out of nothing & formed themselves & metamorphosed & led to new things etc. But when you look at how extraordinary & beautiful & diverse & miraculous nature & all of creation is, then you get the feeling that there was Intelligent Design at work. Some entity, some feeling, thinking being planned this. It wasn't just random.
I believe in God. I am a Catholic. I can understand why atheists have trouble accepting this though because there isn't any concrete proof. There isn't any proof of anything when it comes right down to it. All we can do is guess. I have faith & it's what makes me believe. I feel bad for those who don't have faith but you either have it or you don't. I don't think I could convert an atheist no matter how convincing my argument. I think they would have to have a spiritual awakening based on a real experience (I actually knew someone that this happened to. He had a vision & turned from atheist to christian. This is rare though! As Jesus said, happy are those who haven't seen & yet believe.)
Anyway, I think it's more realistic to believe in some manner of creator than to believe everything just kind of popped up on its own. I mean, come on, look at a platypus! How do you explain that with evolution?! A duck's bill a mammal's body? This makes no sense. No, someone or something intentionally made this bizarre creature just to show that they could. Just to make a point. Look at all the incredible multicoloured tropical fish. There are many creatures whose features (I'm a poet & I know it! ha ha) serve no evolutionary purpose but are merely for aesthetic purposes (God the artist). How do you explain that away? How can it be random? It's not evolution. It's not survival of the fittest because many awesome creatures have qualitites that evolution would have discarded, things that are actually contra-survival. Nature is beautiful. It's art. That's proof enough of intelligent design...
I believe in religion & science. They exist together harmoniously but people keep trying to separate them...the bottom line is that it's an extraordinary world, however it got here. The past doesn't matter as much as the present & future. Just love the world we're in & take care of it. You can't lose that way!
Peace out!
Just keepin it real!
:)
God bless!

She's a fabulous mother, god is, but we keep forgetting her and going after dad.
See, dads can stay, dads can go, dads can be the devil itself.
Dads don't definitely know you're his.
But momma is nearly always your momma.
And we've forgotten her. We've worshipped sun gods inplace of the moon and the earth.
We've killed father time every year, thinking that there was ever a real beginning, and a real end.
We've defied infinity to come live among the mortal, and we've had no peace since then.
Our souls are no more or less than light and time and space, bound for a short time upon this planet as one cohesive stream of consciousness, dissipating at the call of some Unknown, called into being at the hand of the Unseen...

The nature of God himself means your questions are stupid lol.
1. God was never made he is eternal and doesn't exist within time.
2. God having a mother/ father/ whatever is stupid, as he is eternal, and nothing was needed to create him.
3. God is a term most commonly used to describe the Jedaeo-Christian God. If you want to learn his nature/ personality, read the Bible, particularly the miracles and the story of Jesus.
4. What is a pece?
hope this helps you.

Those of us who believe in God accept that He just is. He exists. He lives, always. Sometimes for supernatural things, like God, there is no "1 + 1 = 2". There is no easy answer, unless you are willing to believe that He is real and it's not important to understand how or why.
It's confusing and amazing, and we choose to have faith in His Word (Holy Bible) because it is a great comfort and guide to us.

God is you and i. We are gods. We watched the Egyptians and Native Americans like fools but they had the right ideas. The creator the everything is by far not on our level. The creator is a being. Not a he or she. The creator resides in all. One Love.

Can you conceive of something that has no beginning? There you will find God. Our finite human minds cannot fathom the infinite, eternal, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent God. He only is truly real for He is the definition of "real."

perhaps there is neutrality, that was here before good and evil. the tide pushes and pulls but one day it will calm, will it not? this calmness...this neutrality is god. so is the push and the pull but of course what is god but a figment of our imaginations designed to relieve the harshness of this world? what is belief and hope and faith but reinforcements to humanitys' greatest weakness? its painful...to think such thoughts...even for me (I'm not an aetheist) because it shows me the truth of this world. it brings me to light but it is the light that I see now that can also be viewed through gods eyes...

This question has remained unanswered ever since people started asking it and will probably remain unanswered forever -- unless, of course, you are god and just asking the question for fun.
