The MacBook Pro has two different types of Firewire ports: 1 is 400 speed, the other is 800 speed. You only get 400 speed on the non-pro MacBook. Also, pro has faster processor options, ATI video at either 128MB or 256MB compared to non-pro with Intel video at 64MB. Pro has illuminated keyboard with ambient light sensor, non-pro has standard keyboard. Pro has full-size DVI video output instead of Mini-DVI. Pro has bigger screen size options.

Check apple.com. But some are, pro has bigger processor, better video card, DVD dual layer burner, bigger harddrive......
