It depends on your child and their ability level. My daughter used one really early on because she could handle it .. the crazy little girl was walking at 8 months and climbing the furniture by a year. Wait until your child is sturdy enough to hold themselves up in the jumper.

I am assuming the jolly jumper is the one you attach to a door frame? My son has a Jumperoo the one on its own A frame stand. He went in it at 2 1/2-3 months of age which was when he had enough head control (but he was holding his head up for short periods of time by 2 weeks of age). The instructions with all these jumpers say that the baby must have head control but weigh less then 25 pounds. The seat itself will support his/her trunk. My son loved his jumper most babies love to jump and its good exercise for their legs. He is now 8 months old and about to retire from his jumper because around 6-7 months he was able to jump so hard I thought he'd jump himself right out! But he loved it he'd just giggle and smile the whole time. They now have a new one out called the Rainforest Jumperoo that has a seat that can turn 360 degrees and a new frame. Makes me wish my little guy was smaller so I could just buy another one..lol

Well from what my mother told me the jolly jumper was my favorite thing when I was a baby. I walked at 9months old and have nothing wrong with my feet!

at around 5-6 months, when they can roll over and push themselves up with their arms once they are on their tummy. My daugther loved the Johnnie Jumper and my son who is 5 months old loves it too.

It depends, but pretty much any age. You have to look at a lot of factors: Are there others in there? Can you get in there too? How old are the children in there? If the children are of like age, they can go in together, but if your child cannot walk easily, then you should go in with him/her and just sit there with the child on your lap and let the other kids jump.
