Seems to me that Americans didn't want to be involved any more in WW2 than Iraq I fell sure that 70% of Americans did not want to be involved in WW2 Maybe it is because we were attacked that WW2 is OK now

What I've always heard is that the US was quite willing to let Hitler and the Nazis take over Europe until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.

The Muslims are in the process of taking over Europe now, slowly but steadily and most Americans could care less. Read "While Europe Slept" by Bruce Bawer.

actual, no. The 60's have been a large era for activism, yet as quickly as we've been given out of Viet Nam, and Nixon resigned, there have been no real reasons to get smitten by. How do you protest against Ford or Carter? 2 dazzling adult males, somewhat bland, yet no longer protest-inspiring.

Comparing the events that forced us into WWII and the preemptive war against Iraq is like comparing a gushing artery to a mosquito bite. Don't even try to equate the two with your pretzel logic.

Just like nobody wanted to get involved with fighting terrorists until we got attacked. Now everybody wants to leave the war and further be at risk of being attacked again. Doesn't make any sense if you ask me.

90% weren't against the war after 3 years into it...the difference is that americans were MORE interested as time went on, now they are LESS interested.

You seem to be leaving out the fact of how xenophobic America was at the time (and still is).
We have to understand that we don't live in a vacuum. And every move we make, leaves a huge footprint.

Not true! Know your history! Americans we very much for the war! Our homeland war attacked and our love ones killed! The enlistment was high everyone did their part!! you cant even compare them both!

theres no maybe about it .. we were not attacked by iraq ... they were not even threatning to attack.. they didnt have the means to attack .. and the stated reasons we went in the first place are bs .... so im surprized that its only 70% against myself ...

it's because we won... If we were out of Iraq and they were all happy go lucky over there... Bush would be GOD.
