Well...its hard to say really because every face has a different shape/color....soooo what I would suggest for you to do is find a MAC Cosmetics store in your area...you can get it at Macy's too..and Bloomingdales I think...Its the best make-up EVER! If you dont have a Mac store in ur area you should go to there website...the have everything and then some! But it would be better if you went to the store cuz the workers really know what they're doing so they'll be able to help you much better! Trust me...You'll love! It makes you look like a proffesional did you up everytime!

Go to a makeup counter at a department store and ask for help. they'll make up up and can teach you how to use the brushes and such. be honest about what you know and what you like. a great free way to get a makeover - and you can go back as many times as you want. but if they spend more than a few minutes with you it is polite to buy something if you like them and what they did. most of those girls work on commission.

start with mineral make up as a base its slightly more expensive ie £23 per pot lasts ages and gives perfect cover over any skin type without looking or feeling caked on! I tryed it and will never ever go back to regular make-up plus as someone else ansered always ask people who sell this make up for a sample if they think they'll get the sale theyll say no prob

Find a local Avon representative, it is their job to instruct you on good makeup choices and new ideas. The catologs often have pages that show you how to apply the makeup for dramatic and present-day looks.

well what has helped me alot has been tv shows that have a segment that focuses on make-up application. I have learned ALOT from "What Not to Wear".
Also, asking a make-up person at the mall is not a crime. Just explain to them what you're trying to acheive, make sure they know you just want to know and may not buy anything. ( So make sure you ask when the person is not busy and chat with them, get their name so when you do have money you can get a nice little hook-up!)
