My father died and left all investments to my mother.
She is getting old(mid-70's).
My youngest sister who is married and has 2 children
has been our accountant for the last 25+ years.
My mother, who is a U.S. citizen lives with her when she visits from our native country.
We are four adult chiildren(1 male and 3 females).

= parts for everyone, but this needs to be in a will(ultimately it is your mothers decision)

Personally, working on the fact there are 4 adults and 2 children.

I would give 1/5 to each Adult, then put the remaining 1/5 into a bank Society for the 2 Children to share when they become 18/21

That is up to your mother! She's not even dead yet and you are all trying to get her stuff! I do estate work and many families simply write the children out because they are well off on their own and can afford to live without the inheritance.

Others give equally to each child. There is no wrong or right answer to your question. It's up to your mother!

it should be split evenly unless there are mitigating circumstances. if the accountant of 25+ years has never been paid then she should be paid first and then the rest split evenly.

for the items in the house you should pick one item at a time and start with the oldest first.

well, it's your MOM's now.....she needs to pick an exeutor of the estate and then it's up to her how she wants to divy it up, unless your father left instructions.
