When my daughter started crawling on our wood floors, she looked like the scary girl from the Ring coming out of the TV...but there's nothing you can do...rugs help, but you would have to cover your whole house. Its scary to think they arent crawling correctly, but my daughter turned out just fine. Strong legs...

They sell the knee pads for babys at Babies R Us, or just get you a nice tube sock with some elastic and cut it to size. That's basically all the ones from Babies R Us are, glorified, modified tube socks on the knees!

I would ask the doctor about the easy bruising- my baby crawls on hardwood floors and does not get bruised knees.

Blanket, area rugs, or carpeting. Some kids just get used to it, I think. We had linouleum floors in our house when we were growing up and we all crawled fine and developed properly.

I've seen baby knee pads for crawling babies in Babies R Us and other similar baby supply stores.

They also make knee pads for infants. I had a pair when my son was little, but don't remember what company made them... Maybe Safety First? Good luck.
