I want to get my bellybutton pierced but I know my parents won't let me. There is a guy I know that has done a lot of piercings and they've all turned out good, and I was thinking about having him do it. But first I wanted to know how professionals pierce belly buttons, like the process they go through. Because I don't know if I want him to do it if he doesn't do it like a professional would. So if someone could tell me if I should have him do it and how professionals do it, that would be cool.

When I had mine done, they grabbed onto the skin w/ clamps and then shoved a hollow needle through it to string the ring through. Not only did it hurt- it never healed! Make sure this is something that you want to do and only get it done by a professional!

At a tattoo parlor/piercing place they just swab the area with antiseptic, then clamp it, and finally push the needle through. While removing the needle they thread the belly button through. It's a simple, mostly painless process. Although some people might tell you it is unsanitary, if you check everything out, it should be okay. Just so long as you watch the person remove the needle from the package. If you have talked to others about it and they haven't had any problems, then it should be alright. I had my tongue pierced by a friend, after he did many other piercings, because my parents wouldn't let me get it done. I made sure he used a brand new needle and did it correctly. It turned out fine for me, and for all the others I knew who went to him.

Navel piercing does not require full undressing - only the navel is uncovered. It is cleaned with an antiseptic solution and the location of the piercing is marked. The piercing itself is performed with a clamp and a special needle, which installs the initial piece of jewelry as part of the piercing.

First, a sterilized clamp is clamped on the skin above the belly button. Then the sterilized needle is pushed through followed by the sterilized jewelry that was chosen. New methods and advances in equipment often eliminate the need for clamping the skin prior to piercing.

i had my tragus, nostril, tounge, and abdomen button pierced professionally back the early/mid 90s whilst physique piercing first all started turning out to be greater mainstream. first became the tummy button. my piercer numbed it with ice so i did no longer experience lots of the preliminary marvel; although, some hours later i felt the aching (and by finals!) next got here the tragus. this became the main painful, to no longer point out you will be able to desire to take heed to the crunch of the jewellery dealing with cartilage. my tongue became next and that they pierced from the backside - up (much less nerve endings below your tongue). no longer as undesirable as you may think of, yet anticipate a large style of drooling in the process the piercing and swelling for an afternoon or greater. finally the nostril: like each and every marvel to the nostril, anticipate the attention on a similar component of the nostril the place the piercing is to offer some tears. all in all, the terrific way i will describe what the actual piercing sensation is this: sort of like an extremely heat pinch. examine your physique jewelry shops. attempt to discover places with solid repeat shopper corporation. take a while; you do no longer ought to get a piercing that very same day you stroll in. get a feeling for what type of individual the piercer is by the fact they finally are dictating what type of adventure you will have. mine have been very friendly and maximum heavily knowledgeable with piercings of their very own... and actual convey a pal who already has some thing pierced for a 2d opinion and greater ethical help (and to help confirm you do no longer rooster out) - solid success and function relaxing!

Call a pro first. A must!!!! Check your states age requirements.
The pierecers wants parent's permission if you are under 18
