I have two real fears and they are the fear of wrists, and the fear of the ice cream man. I know this sounds weird, but it is very true. When I was little, I watch the movie The Ice Cream Man and every since then, I have been horrified of ice cream men. Luckily, I live in the country and there is no ice cream trucks driving around with that creepy music playing. My fear of wrist is 1000000 times worse however! My wrist are small and I can see the blue veins and that really freaks me out! I am afraid of accidentally cutting myself and dying. My friends know about this and are always pretending to cut themselves and I always gag and get real light headed. If I see something gross in a movie, my wrist and arms begin going numb and I get real weak. When I wear a watch and bracelets, I keep them pushed up on my arm so they don't touch my wrist and when I wear clothes with long sleeves, I make sure the sleeve goes past my hand in length. I don't like people talking about wrist or touching mine. I don't know how I got this way, but just typing this stuff makes me feel nauseous.

I have a weird thing about certain foods touching each other. If I have baked beans then I can't let the bean juice touch anything else. Same with gravy and stuff like that.

It's a bit weird and I don't know why I do it but I do. I also hate touching wet wool - it sets my teeth on edge!

Celery. I can't bear the smell or taste of it. I can't touch it with bare hands either. The daftest thing is that I'm vegetarian. You'd expect me to like all vegetables! The other thing that freaks me out is lightning/thunderstorms, particularly at night. I can't go near windows/doors or outside. I won't use the shower either through fear of death by electrocution! I run round my house unplugging all electrical appliances for fear of them exploding. It's got a bit better as I've got older, but I have to admit though it must be rather amusing watching a 22 year old catapult herself over the top of the sofa after seeing a flash of lightning!

Good God, cotton wool is the bane of my life - it makes my teeth itch and my back crawl - arghh! Others find it highly amusing but honestly it is an awful feeling! Colouring with felt tips is ick aswell, and also snow crunching and squeaking underfoot, walking in espadrilles and SAND the most loathsome and fearsome thing after cotton wool!!!! Bloody hell, reading that back no wonder others find it funny I sound mental!

I'm not exactly scared of buttons, but they do make me very uncomfortable. I know why though...I got scared when I was small...only about 8 or 9 months old when there was a knock on the door. I cried and my mother picked me up then went to answer the door. I can still remember these big green buttons on this woman overalls and I still associate distress with them.

Weird huh?...LOL

I really dislike feet, although I think that's not too unusual. I know a lot of people that do; just thinking about them gives me a lump in my throat!

I also am a bit disgusted by nails on the chalkboard; not because of the sound, but because I've had long nails all my life, and I'd think about them being damaged, or worse - breaking! And that can hurt, a lot...

I have a phobia of my hair being wet and touching my skin (shoulders/neck) and also have a phobia of slugs.

I always eat food in the same order and it cannot be touching another item on the plate (i.e. potato touching carrot or something)
Otherwise I get uncomfortable and often can't eat it

I have a phobia concerning visiting a dentist for anything. It all stems back to when I was a kid and our only rural dentist got some kind of thrill out of extracting teeth without waiting for the freeze to take it's full effect. He would even ask you first if it was frozen, and pull it regardless of your answer.OUCH!

the cotton they put in bottles of over the counter medications, don't know why, regular cotton balls don't bother me, but I cannot touch the pieces in the medicine bottles, also, I smell of all my food before eating it, and all my drinks before drinking it. Strange huh??
