Really no difference they our put together on the same assembly line. Gm has just always said that GMC is like the Cadillac of trucks etc.. There is really no difference though other than the name and maybe a few more options.

It's kinda like Toyota and Lexus, just not to that extent. The GMC Yokon is basically a more upscale/luxury version, while the the Chevy Tahoe is marketed more towards the working man, though I've seen instances where the roles are completely reversed. It's mostly marketing, but I do believe GMC's are genuinely more luxurious. Hence the price difference.

To quote Tanya G
"a yukon wastes more gas than a tahoe. and a yukon is also more expensive"
A Yukon and Tahoe have the same motor, same computer, fuel injection system, same axles with same gear ratios and same transmission. So please in you infinte wisdom, explain how the Yukon gets worse gas mileage than a Tahoe?
A Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade are all built on the same platform. The Caddy just has a different motor.
An Chevy Avalance is on the same platform as the Caddy EXT
A Chevy Corvette is on the same platform at the Caddy XLR
Same platform meaning frame, axles etc...everything but the cosmetics.

The Gmc Is almost the same as the Chevy the only diferences are the grills and trim. The interiors are also basically the same but also soem minor trim differences. The motors are the same and so are the suspensions. Is depends mostly on your prefernce which is better. The resale values are basically the same on both. The resale values are also basically the same, and you can buy basically the same model when you're purchasing so one is really not better then the other. It's your preference of look mostly.

They are exactly the same truck with only superficial differences with trim, nameplates, and accessories like grilles or wheel designs. They are made in exactly the same way in the same factory with the same parts so there really is no difference. The one that is better is the one that appeals to your eye only.
