his time under Radical Islamic Guidance ? Although he wrote the book more than 10 years ago, it now appears to be an attempt to re-write history in the interest of furthering his political career in the future. . . .. . Well the future is now, and he's caught red-handed by who ? Not the Republicans !! Oh no, he's been outed by the Hillary campaign !! I knew she would do it, and she did . But it's still kinda hard to say "Thank you Hillary " !!

How many of you Democrats are completely up to speed on this issue ?

Yawns...I am sure we will be put up to speed with all the political rhetoric we can stand over the next couple of years. I hate even thinking about it. Our elections have become a joke to the rest of the world.

Perhaps Obama did not feel influenced by the short time is the Islamic school is Africa. And even if he was, what is so horrid about that, heaven knows it might help to have SOMEONE who knows something about the Islamic faith on board right now. The man graducated from Harvard...I expect he has been exposed to many ideologies in his life.

I am not a Democrat, but I live in Illinois and Barack Obama is one of my Senators.

According to the news coverage I saw on television last night, he was never under the guidance of "Radical Islam." He attended a public school in Indonesia that was attended by children of many faiths, the majority of whom were Muslims. The news piece included an interview with the current head of the school who says they are non-sectarian. The pictures of the children who attend the school now indicate that both boys and girls attend the school. They were well dressed and the neighborhood is very up-scale.

I do not think the Senator was purposely omitting or trying to hide anything. He probably will not be my choice for President, but I do think he is an honest and very interesting person who has a lot to offer in the way of public service. His voting record in the Illinois General Assembly indicates that he is fairly left of center, but that would be expected considering his Chicago constituency.

I think "Radical Islamic Guidance" is a little strong madrasah in Islam means school and thats what it is a scholarly non secular school granted it does focus on being a good leader in the muslim community and the history of Islam but I think we need to remember that we do have a significant muslim population in this country and although it may seem impossible we need to stop equating muslim with evil or un American. Additionally, I saw this article on a fox news website which I found insanely interesting and also as evidence of the fact that Democrats and especially Democratic candidates need to come together as a party and remain on one accord there are already other threats of vote splits from the ralph naders and independents Democrats are sure to encounter in 2008. I think it would be wise for candidates to stop thinking only of themselves and respect what is best for the party because these childish revelations and attempted deformations of character are only going to weaken the Democratic party and thus any Democratic Candidates as well.

His time under Radical Islamic Guidance? Pray tell, when did that happen? From the ages of 6-10 he was in Jakarta Indonesia with his mother and stepfather and attended both Catholic and Muslim parochial schools. They then moved to Hawaii where he attended, from fifth grade to h.s. graduation, a college prep school, hardly a Radical Islamic environment. Is anything connected to Islam radical to you? So say if he attended a Muslim school in Jakarta at the age of 8 he was fed radical fanaticism that somehow brainwashed him into later becoming a Christian who would then fool us all and as soon as he's elected he performs a coup of the United States government and we're all doomed by an Islamic fanatic President? Oh, my, I better get my head examined for daring to believe he actually is a Christian American who loves his country. Your scenario makes much more sense. Can I have some of what you are smoking? Oops, never mind, gave that up when I was in college.

I am up to speed on this and you are so wrong I am laughing my butt off. As for re-writing history, well, what do you think will be said about your boy w? 1) He didn't understand global warming except to blame it on cattle farts 2) he listens to your phone calls 3) he reads your mail 4) he tortures prisoners 5) he lets his friends chase little boys 6) he started a war over oil and lied to the American people, that it was due to 7) alleged WMD by terrorists that did 9/11. 8) he is against abortion but will not support stem cell research that might cure Alzheimers, Parkinsons, both types of diabetes- talk about confused. I could go on with this list but if you have been paying attention at all during the last 6 years you know your boy is a loser.

How different are you than you were a decade ago?
We all make questionable choices when we're younger. I used to have a spiked Mohawk, that I had to make stand up using Krazy Glue.

btw- Peace Love, I might agree with you - but damn! My computer got exhausted just with the scrolling!

HILLARY BROUGHT OUT THE FACT AND NOW HE HAS TO EXPLAIN WHY HIS BOOK AND HIS LIFE STORY IS MISSING A VERY IMPORTANT PART. ESPECIALLY FOR THE TIMES WE LIVE IN TODAY. WHEN EVERY ISLAMIC CLERIC IS CALLING FOR THE FALL OF AMERICA. I DON'T TRUST HIM AND I WOULD NEVER VOTE FOR HIM.
FUNNY HOW EVERYBODY BLAMES THE REPUBLICANS WHEN IT WAS HILLARY CLINTON THAT OUTED HIM.

QUOTE FROM INSIGHTMAG.COM

Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage? This is the question Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama.

An investigation of Mr. Obama by political opponents within the Democratic Party has discovered that Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia. Sources close to the background check, which has not yet been released, said Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia.

"He was a Muslim, but he concealed it," the source said. "His opponents within the Democrats hope this will become a major issue in the campaign." Sources said the background check, conducted by researchers connected to Senator Clinton, disclosed details of Mr. Obama's Muslim past. The sources said the Clinton camp concluded the Illinois De

If you want to ask that question, then why not ask why Jefferson left out Sally; why did Storm Thurmond live out his love a Black woman and his bi-racial daughter; and why do you leave out things about yourself? Get a grip on reality. Everything in the media is not always what it seems. Maybe even people are in great hope that two powerful people will never come together.

I'm not worried about it. I'm sure we'll hear about it just like we heard that John Kerry didn't deserve his medals and South Carolinian learned John McCain is a traitor. Our political system doesn't leave much dirt under the rug. That's true whether it's really dirt or bull sh*t.
