Well there a lot of great movies in theaters and on DVD and none of them are horror films because I am a scaredy cat.
In theaters:
Volver (spanish with english subtitles)*
Pan's Labyrinth ( spanish with english subtitles)*
Children of Men*
On DVD:
Labyrinth (no relation to Pan's Labyrinth)
A Love Song for Bobby Long
House of Flying Daggers (chinese with english subtitles)
EVERYTHIN IS ILLUMINATED (great movie)
Little Miss Sunshine
Empire Records
A very Long Engagement ( french with english subtitles)
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Clue
Cookie's Fortune
Closer
Tremmers
The Bird Cage
Saving Face
Valmont
Cruel Intentions (based on valmont)
V for Vendetta

*= may or may not be playing in your area
I love movies and if you don't like the ones I have suggested take a few days to look at all the movies listed on imdb.com

Lars von Trier: Festen (the feast), Idiots...
