Since Columbus and his cohorts didn't slaughter the aboriginal peoples of the Americas, the Americas would be run by the original inhabitants. They would have joined forces and become independent nations rather than slaves to empires. English would not be the primary language. North America would be cleaner and less polluted. India would have become part of the Spanish Empire. Actually, since there were great armies in India, people like Columbus may have been killed.

Maybe someone else would have discovered the Americas and different people would have immigrated and the natives of the Americas would have lived in peace with them and not pushed away and killed. But, come to think of it, it was the British who eventually colonized America and India, so maybe it wouldn't have been any different.

i think sooner or later someone would have found America so it would have just slowed down the discovery and made America an even younger country then it already is. plus we probably would not be English based cause a different country most likely would have founded us. who knows we might have been a territory right now instead of our own country.
