Try to eat about 3 1/2 to 4 hours before the game. And don't just load up on carbs. That is a myth. Eat some (pasta, potatos, etc.) but make sure to get some protein and have a good balance. Meats, eggs, things like that. Carbs will give you some energy for a little while, but if that is all you eat, you will be draggin by the fourth quarter. Trust me man, I have seen it. I coached college ball for a few years, and have a masters degree in phys. ed.

Make sure you drink lots of water early in the day and the day before. Eat some pasta or a wheat bread sandwich 2 hours before and half a protein bar 30 minutes before the game starts.
