In the global warming issue they will point out; when confronted why its not hot in one area; by saying its regional but you have to take the whole climate system into account.

but then when confronted with how good the economy is they say things like Pfiszer just layed off 10,000 workers so it cant be a good economy? what happened to the whole system?

People will say anything to support their positions, whether they're correct or not.

It is the whole system when it comes to the economy. conservatives have the illusion that it is thriving. When in fact, it's not thriving. If it were thriving, Bernake wouldn't have to raise interest rates to keep world leaders and oil countries from trading in Euro dollars instead of U.S petro dollars. Kuwait just announced this along with other countries that are doing the same. Saddam tried to do it as well, and we all know what Bush did as a result. Watch gold prices sky rocket even more as a result.
Here's another result of the economy not doing as well, huge deficits and debt run up by whom? Oh yeah, Bush. You don't think this is going to catch up to us, think again. Dude, you need to start getting your head out of the neo-con play by play book and get back to reality and scratch beneath the surface of neo-con fantasy.

for the same reason Conservatives point out that it snowed in California and point out that because it did that, global warming is an impossibility.

as far as the economy goes, I like to point out that personal savings are an all time low and personal debt is at an all time high. I'm sure you will counter that by saying it is not the economy , it is the careless spending habits of Americans.

1. slowest recovery from a recession in the history of the US.
2. Savings rate profoundly decreased along with credit debt by consumers...this economy was produced through red ink.
3. housing bubble has popped
4. Poverty rate has increased since W took office.
5. You can't have a strong economy unless real median wages greatly outpace inflation...since W took office it has greatly under performed.
6. CBO has already said Bush's tax cuts have had little to know effect on the economy...if it has, then it wouldn't be offset by the enormous budget deficit and national debt.

do your homework before you ask silly questions.

Global warming doesn't mean it's hot everywhere.

It's hot in some areas, which causes truly bizarre weather in other places.

Los Angeles has seen 36 recently, and New York hasn't had any snow in over 2 months. Look at the incredible blizzards in the midwest.

Find out about the subject before you type.

Pfizer laid off 10,000 workers because of how Pfizer's doing, not the overall economy. Weren't there more than 100k new jobs created last month? So I guess it's not 'as good'... but who's counting?

Because those two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other? Why are we not 'staying the course'? Why did Rumsfeld 'cut and run'? Why did Bush back down on the illegal wiretappping? Hypocrisy, that's why.
