Who's in the line-up? When is it out? Is it all new material, or are they going to use some stuff from Machina II? In fact, if anyone had any- genuine- information on it at all, I'd be pleased if they shared it.

Here are a couple of sources I was able to find, don't know if it is enough info.

From ultimate-guitar.com:
Smashing Pumpkins Frontman Unveils New Tunes On Solo Show

MJI Interactive reports that Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan played four new songs that could end up on the band's forthcoming reunion album during an intimate club show Tuesday (November 7) in Los Angeles. Pete Townshend of legendary rock group The Who also was on the gig's bill, and reportedly spoke positively of Corgan's new tunes to an audience that included Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin.

Smashing Pumpkins are currently working on their first new album since their break-up in 2000. The band is collaborating with producer Roy Thomas Baker, who has produced Queen and The Cars, among others.

The group is also working with Pantera and Soundgarden producer Terry Date.

Band founder Billy Corgan announced the reactivation of the Smashing Pumpkins last year. Aside from himself and Chamberlin, it is unknown whether original guitarist James Iha, original bassist D'Arcy Wretzky or latter-day bass player Melissa Auf der Maur will be involved in the project.
Smashing Pumpkins halfway there

From virgin.net:
Smashing Pumpkins halfway there

Reformed rockers The Smashing Pumpkins have revealed they are "halfway" through recording their eagerly awaited comeback album.

The band, who split in 2000, are back together and are working on their first album since 1999's 'MACHINA/The Machines of God' with former Queen producer Roy Thomas Barker and Soundgarden cohort Terry Date.

Drummer Jimmy Chamberlain and singer Billy Corgan are confirmed for the reunion, but it is unclear whether any of the other original members have signed up.

And in a post on the band's official Myspace page, Chamberlain said that after 12 months of work, they are making good progress on the new record.

He said: "We have been working day and night in the studio and I am happy to say that the drums are finished!

"After almost a year of work, to finally sit down and listen to the drum takes, one after another, was a truly joyful experience.

"I can honestly say that this has been one of the most musically satisfying and spiritually rewarding trips I have ever been on. And what a long strange trip it's been!

"Our music has pulled us ever closer to the Heart and the Heart is beating true. We are moving closer to the light now, so about halfway there."

A release date for the new album has not been confirmed

i like Siamese Dream far greater powerful. the subject i've got consistently had with My Bloody Valentine is the concentration on technique, and that i've got got here upon their lead singer somewhat stiff. It lacks the emotion Siamese Dream had. And Siamese Dream has far greater ambition. helpful, loveless wins in terms of technique, yet i could desire to on no account connect with it as much as i could desire to with Siamese Dream.
