William Petersen the actor who plays Grissom is just taking some time off to do a play. He is suppose to return in Feb. On the show they have him leaving to teach a class at a college and will be back. The show is just not the same with out Grissom

you get about 26 new episodes per year so each episode should cover about 2 weeks, but don't hold me too it. It would fit thought, the return of Grissom in Feb sweeps.

He said in the show he'll be gone for 4 weeks...which probably means 4 episodes.
