My periods recently have been all mixed up as i was til about 3-4 months ago on the pill, my period was 30 days, last month it was 26 and not this month it has been 31 so far.
Wen i go to the loo to do a number 1 i wipe myself no blood, nuffin on my liner, i decided i would insert a tampon just to makesure i didnt bleed when i was out, stupidly i inserted it wrong, wen i took it out just on the end was slight reddy/pinky colour, then wheni inserted another one, there was a darkred colour on it(bout size of a 5pence piec) not a lump, just thats hows much blood there was.
I dont know whether to class this as im on myperiod or what? i would not have known that i was bleeding of any sort if i was not to put the tampon in.
I do not bleed when i go to the toilet, as i said above i would not have known of any bleeding if i wernt to put the tampon in.

my periods r normally quite heavy using around 5 tampons a day

It's possible, how heavy are your periods=? are they usually very light? Is it possible that you could have a urine infection? The symptoms would be a constant need to do a wee, sometimes with that, your wee can be so dark it can look like blood on the tissue. The only way to find out for sure is to do a urine sample for your doctor, which would then be sent to the hospital for testing but it could be a couple of days at the minimum before you get the result,or you will just have to buy that pregnancy test, they aren't all expensive, Superdrug, Tesco or Asda do them quite cheaply. Good luck and congrats if you are, its the best thing in the world, being a mum.

You might be pregnant if you had unprotected sex. I doubt it though. It sounds like you are about ready to start. I've had that happen before. I was scared I was pregnant, so I inserted a tampon just in case I started once and it came out red/brown. The next day, I started my period. I think you're body's just getting ready to start.
If you're still nervous though, go get a home pregnancy test. Depending on when you had sex, it should be accurate by now.

That's quite a difficult one to answer, but if you have been trying to get pregnant then of course it's possible. Personally I would recommend that you wait another week, see if you have any further symptoms, breast tenderness, feeling nauseous or unusually tired. Some women can have spotting during early pregnancy. Please though, never use tampons unless you are definitely on your period as it can be highly dangerous!! If after a week there is still no definite sign of your period, do a test, if it comes up negative go and see your GP. I hope this helps.

i think that the reason why u may be bleeding is cause where you have inserted the tampon wrong u may have torn yourself thats were the blood is coming from check again tomorrow and if you are still only spotting then i think it would be best to go to the doctors to check to see if it is anything serious

Best thing to do is take a test.
You can have what is called implantation bleed, which means that you bleed a very small amount around the time your period was due as the egg implants into the uterine wall

You could be pregnant. I would take a test to find out and if its negative go to the doctor to see whats going on and ask them for a blood test. Good Luck.

I think you could be. I would go to a doctor and have them do a blood or urine test. See if you're pregnant, and if you aren't they can find out what is going on with your periods. Congrats if you are though!

Well, to know for sure and to check for any other problems, you should go to a doctor or gyno. They will do a pregnancy test and may give you an exam to be sure everything is okay up there.

If you've had unprotected sex then there's a chance that you're pregnant. Test twice.....a week apart. If those results still don't satisfy you, then have a Dr. order a blood HCG test.
