The 2008 elections can cause a significant change in history. What do you think we'll have first... a black president or a woman president?

In '24', two presidents were black men, not women. Do you think that's foreshadowing something?

This may be silly, but I really think Dennis Haysbert's character as President David Palmer on "24" has done a significant amount as far as preparing the American cultural mindset for a black president sometime in the near future.

Similarly, the relative unpopularity of the show depicting a female president (Commander in Chief?) shows it will be a long time, if ever, the US will approve of having a woman in charge of the military. However, the president on Battlestar Galactica is very popular (to fans) and positively portrayed.

Short answer: we will have a black president first.

Oh yes, I'm sure the show 24 has something to do with our democratic process, I have know doubt about it. Just as I am sure Clinton ran his 8 years in office just like a porno flick. So I am sure you are on to something here!!!

I would hope a black president. If we have to have a woman president I DO NOT want it to be Hillarious Clinton.
