"That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us.

"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

"Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device." Acts 17:27-29

Sorry; this question was supposed to go into Religion and Spirituality but somehow it landed in Law and Ethics.

God made us and he wants us to call on him if we need him. He also wants us not to think of him as an idol.

I am sorry hun....is there a law and ethics question here that I am just missing?

Its okay though, I do understand you do not want to go to Religion and Spirituality and be blasted by the righteous atheists or fundamentalist Christians.

I take it to mean that God is not very far from any of us and that He alone is responsible for our existence and as His children we should understand that His likeness cannot be recreated by anyone.
