My daughter is 4 months and has learnt to roll back to stomach, but just hasn't mastered stomach to back yet. She did it once but thats it. The problem is, she rolls over to her stomach and plays for a bit but won't even try to roll from stomach to back. She gets frustrated on her stomach after a while, so I pick her up, and roll her on her back, and she rolls again. Any ideas on how I can get her to roll stomach to back?

During the day give her the chance to practise.. just help her as she wiggles and tries.

At night, lay her in a sleep positioner so she cant roll on her stomach while she sleeps

My daughter ws 10 weeks when she rolled front to back. That only lasted about one week, and then she wouldn't do it again for months!! She was 4 months when she rolled back to front, and was very selective about when she would do that too.

Just keep putting her on her stomach... instead of picking her up when she gets upset, teach her how to roll over. Just keep practicing with her.

a) stop doing it for her, and b) don't worry about it. She's actually pretty little to be able to roll both ways. If you leave her in the way she doesn't like, she'll eventually get pissed off enough to figure out how to roll back the other way.

don't worry about it. She'll get it. Just give her time. Just keep on helping her and eventually she'll figure it out. My daughter couldn't roll both ways until she was 7 months old. Some kids just learn later. It doesn't mean anything at all.

she will do it when she is ready... i wouldn't push her to do it too much though. All babies develop at different stages. She will do it, just give her time.
