I have a 04 M3 and this guy on the freeway was all over me trying to race me last night. Traffiic was fair, but I'm not stupid enough to go in and out of traffic with this guy. Who would win?

350 z nismo engine specs
Type: V6
Displacement cu in (cc): 214 (3498)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: > 300(224) / 6400
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: > 260(353) / 4800
Redline at RPM: 7000

E46 M3 engine specs:
3.2l-24v I6) - 343 PS (US model = 340 hp / 252 kW) 0-60 mph - 4.4 seconds, 1/4 Mile - 13.1@105 (U.S. model Car and Driver, March 2003) Top Speed: 155 mph (electronically limited) 186 mph (delimited)

So basically performance wise both vehicles closely correlate.
Other factors that could win the race:
1.Skill of the driver
2. Road conditions
3. weather conditions
4. power to weight ratio (driver's weight, extra person in the car, groceries)
5. Are you racing in a straight line (1/4 mile) or a slalom curvy road.

So basically its inconclusive right now. :)

Im have an M3 also...

It depends on a few factors.
1. What engine do you have?
2. Do you have an SMG transmission?
3. Are you good at driving at high speeds/racing?

If two professionals were racing with those cars (stock) then the M3 would win. If you were racing it and didn't have that much racing experience then you could possibly lose. You were clearly smart enough not to race him because of safety issues and you will be respected for that decision. Many situations arise such as these in which crazy college kids get rice burners and try to race cars much better than them. Fortunately, the drivers of the much nicer cars (BMW M Class, Ferrari, etc.) are smart enough not to risk their lives to prove something which doesn't need to be proven.
