Unless he purchased a new odometer module for the car (Rather expensive) I doubt that he has tampered with the showing mileage. There really isn't much the dealer can tell you about the mileage either. If you got a decent deal, don't "…look that gift horse in the odometer".
Sorry, I couldn't resist the word play!!
Happy Motoring

I bought a car two years ago with 62K miles on it. It was 9 years old at the time (96 model). That is 6900 miles per year. It now has 69K miles...so I put approx. 7000 miles on it in two years. So no that's not that unusual..definitely below the average though.

perhaps. examine Kelly Blue e book BTW - an regularly occurring driving force drives 12-15 ok / year. the automobile is 5 yrs previous (in all risk new in 2004), which skill it ought to have around seventy 5 ok on it. It became pushed approximately 20 ok / year, that's a solid deal over regularly occurring. Which gets back to checking the KBB on it.

maybe it was a weekened car or they live here on maui where it is impossible to put 10,000 on a year. You can buy a 10 yr old car with 60,000 miles or less. Crazy but good for us.

Little know signs of use:
Brake pedal wear from foot.
Gas pedal wear.
Carpet wear.
Seat wear.
Seat belt wear.
Steering wheel wear.
Have the lug nuts been removed in the past? (should have original tires.)
