The sound on my computer isnt working. HELP!?

the volume is as high as it goes. i went to the control panel and it says no audio device. i dont know. help please.

best thing ..get a 1.6GHz,1024 MB laptop for $100! think im joking? go to http://www.freewebs.com/cheapestlaptop and see for yourself. only one per household.

see if the jack is plugged in.
