The author knows more about Hogwarts than the director will.

Blue and Bronze. I believe that the director was mistaken. Slytherin has Silver as one of its colours, and I do not think that J.K.R. would overlap colours.

Go with what colors the book has. That came first, after all. What you see in the movie is the directors interpretation of the book, so some details will be different.
