My most memorable birthday was a week ago saturday!
I had a child (an only child) at the age of 15. My son is now 21 years old
and was my designated driver for my 37th birthday. He hung in there with me till 6 the next morning ...... It is great to know that at the age of 21 he will still hang out with Mom!

Hope you have a wonderful birthday!

My brother took me to San Francisco during the day. It was warm out and we had just finished eating a great meal and drinking a lot of long islands. We were driving by the piers and you could see the city buildings, and the Bay Bridge. Then all of the sudden Stevie Wonder's song came on. The Happy Birthday one. I know it's corny but it's my best birthday memory so far. It's better then any good gift I've ever gotten.

Well not to bum you out... I was about to turn 14 and my parents were letting me have my first seemingly unchaperoned party(they were going to stay upstairs)and let me host etc. etc. but I became very ill with walking pneumonia and my mother canceled the party. Well I thought how could she,its my birthday, blah blah blah, nothing worse could ever happen to me.The night I was suppose to have my party two of my friends who would have been at my party died. (there was an unfortunate accident that I do not feel like sharing) I was devastated ... I couldn't celebrate my birthday for years, thought it was my fault etc. etc. But I finally learned is you have very little control over how things will or won't turn out. So don't stress and just go with the flow. You probably fight with people because you get too wrapped up in the small stuff.

I was 5 or 6 and my mom had a cake with a hole in the middle with a cute container in the hole and things in it. They each had a streamer going to a guests plate. The things were gifts for the guests. But the candles on my cake caught the streamers on fire. Boy oh boy what a commotion. I am over 50 now and still remember that. It was great.

The 1st year I was married, my husband, bless him, made me a birthday cake. He had never made a cake before, and he was so cute. He kept yelling from the kitchen, "How do you preheat an Oven?" "How do you separate and egg?" How do you grease and flour a pan?" He could not understand my directions, and kept taking me into the kitchen with my eyes closed so I could help him with each step. He really thought I could not figure out what he was doing. He made me a lopsided, cracked, chocolate cake with white frosting. He had used pink frosting to write Happy Birthday babe on it. It was beautiful! Espcially, because he came from a family, where he had never had a home made birthday cake. He cried the first year I made him one. His Mom was not the mommy type. That's where he got the idea to make mine.

Well when I was 5 my parents convinced that the bedroom in our Brooklyn apartment had a mammoth roach inside that devoured all the furniture. Well, to my surprise there wasn't a huge roach and instead there was a huge birthday cake and presents inside. Ah, childhood.

Well I was it was my twentieth birthday and I was on Holiday in Greece. I was on leave and I decided to celebrate in style. Anyway my friends and I went out every night but decided to party especially hard on my bday. We were doing shot after shot and just having all kinds of fun. People around us couldn't help but join in our fun. Then two English girls come up to me and ask me if I want to have some fun so I agree enthusiastically. They start to strip seductively rubbing there half naked bods all over me while at the same time stripping me of my clothes down to my boxers. By this point I have pitched a tent in my boxers and am rearing to go. Next thing I know my friends bring over shots for me and the girls. They takes their shots and leave me hanging with my pants down around my ankles. I was to drunk to feel embarrassed but I loved every minute of it.

My husband took me out to dinner. It was wonderful. Then near the end of dinner he pulled out of his coat pocket a beautiful Sapphire and diamond necklace. I almost hit the floor. To top this off he had pre-arranged with the waiter to sing Happy birthday to me. One in which I will always remember. Hope your's is as happy.
