Eden

I like it and my husband does too, but we don't want to sound to "out-there". Is it too hippieish? What comes to mind when you hear it?

Also, we are having a hard time with middle names. I like Grace or Faith, but don't want to sound religous, just unique. Any middle names to go with Eden.

Eden is a very pretty name. If you don't want it to sound too religious stay away from middle names such as Grace, Hope or Faith. I think a longer middle name would go well with Eden. Examples: Eden Michelle , Eden Rochelle, Eden Katherine.
If you go with a shorter name, how about Eden Marie , Eden Leanne or Eden Rose?

Eden definitely makes me think of the Garden of Eden. If you use Grace or Faith it will definitely sound religious along with Eden. But I still think it's pretty.

Eden Renee
Eden Marie
Eden Louise
Eden Rose
Eden . . . .

Those are the only ones that popped into my head. I like the name Eden sounds like a good begning (if this is your first)

Going by your choice of Grace/faith, you could also try rhyming the following with EDEN:

Fame, Ripple, Drone (or buzz), Trust, Marvel

If you drop the idea of Eden Just Christen the baby as "Rain" - it is sound of all lifeforms.

When I think of Eden, I think of a beautiful garden. When I think of Grace I think of something pure. Eden Grace would be perfect.

I think it's a beautiful name, and not too out-there. I like that Eden is not terribly popular, but sounds a lot like popular names like Emma.

Back when I was a teenager, my favorite soap opera character was named Eden -- she was very polished! If you think it might be a bit hippy-ish, put it together with a very classical name, like Elizabeth or Margaret or Julia.

Grace is kind of common now. Faith is O.K. How about Eve or Hope?
