it seem like everytime i call a tech support center for some help, the people there are more clueless than i am. and i contact them by email ... for get it. i find when i contact them by email, the responce i get was not the question i asked or they will ask me questions that i already answered in the original email if they had bothered to read it.

Because the helpdesk does NOT make money for a company.

I know i work at one.

They get subsidies from the Government where I work, hence they hire anyone and anything, I'm surprised they haven't hired real monkeys yet.

I'll give you an example on how bad it is, the new guy they hired didn't know where to get the version of MS IE, or he didn't know where in MS IE to enter a url. That is just pathetic, and they actually have him on the phone trying to help people.

I've nicknamed him "choo choo" , as : a train wreck waiting to happen.

It's a very bad state of affairs.

So since they don't make money , they just care to field as many calls as possible in order to fill their contractual quotas.
Customer satisfaction is NOT their top priority.

HARHARHARHARHARHARHARHAR! I am sorry, that is so classic. Yes there is, but once you dialed their tech support number, the system or the Interactive Voice Response system will be the one to route your call. This IVR will then transfer you to an agent, it doesn't matter whether that agent is in India, Manila Philippines or in the US. The reason why you get an answer - my manager is engage to another call or it is busy at the moment is because of the following reasons: 1. The agent might be telling the truth 2. The agent is de-escalating the manager call or the supervisor call from you and want to help you really. But in your case, the agent cannot understand you completely or solve the problem. 3. The agent doesn't really want to transfer you to their supervisor or manager. To help you with that, I went to different sites and found the same answers. Microsoft site is not much of a help. Additional Information: 1. You can only create 10 additional account, 11 including yours. 2. Ask for a new software

Most tech support now is contracted out to other countries. It's hard to understand each other as there is a language barrier. English is not their first language so they trying to figure out what you're saying rather than listening to the question you're asking. At least, that's what I find.

because they can. companies do not support their products because unlike years ago no one product is wholly made by on company. this behavior would never be accepted fifty years ago. but not people are fools and they think it is normal. people are too rich there are some companies that do it right.
