My employees are frustrated as well with the amount of work and lack of time. No budget for more employees. Little sympathy from my bosses. I need the job.

If you need the job, maybe it's time to start finding more efficient employees.

Your job is not in jeopardy, if you are working over 40 hours a week I hope you are being paid overtime.
Do not push yourself anymore than you already are.
I do not know what state you are in, but all states have a labor board. You can not get in trouble for seeking out their advise, nor can you be fired, it is against the law.
It is not your problem that your company is too cheap to hire additional employees, my guess is there is a budget for them, your employer just doesn't want to use it for that purpose.
Try speaking to your employer first about the amount of work verses the amount of time, see what they say.. note what they say, and then contact the labor board.. They are there to help you.
Good luck

Those are the exact reasons I decided to get out of the rat race and start my own business. Now I work for myself instead of making others rich with my efforts. Those problems are non-existent for me now....life is good!
Give some serious thought to getting out of the rat race, it will change your life forever and remove that incredible stress that is really bringing people down health-wise these days.
