Unless you're in the accounting industry, I would recommend hiring a good bookkeeper part time. It will let you concentrate on growing the business, instead of learning how to become the bookkeeper/accountant for your business. As a small business owner the best advice I can give you is surround yourself with quality people. (bookkeeper / accountant / lawyer / banker, etc.)

Keep a tight belt, have other money to live on while building a business and reinvest profits in the business until it is growing on its own on a month over month basis.

Get a accountant to do your taxes if you are not eexperienced.

Good luck in your new venture.
