A wireless network simply takes the place of yr wires (ethernet cables). No other account is required...
Put simply, you have 1 router and yr 2 computers. Both are connected by a signal through the air, like a cordless phone. Each computer has its own address and can connect to the internet (and each other) separately. Each computer has to have a receiver unit and this is either built-in already (like most modern laptops) or you have to buy one and install it. You get a disk with the receiver which will install software on yr computer to connect automatically to the router at switch on. The built-in receiver can be connected using Windows.
It's actually quite easy to set up a small home network. Look here:

1. you don't need to change your package to get a wireless connection you need a "wireless router" you connect that just the way you would connect your modem to your PC (after that you connect the router to the PC either wireless or network cable)
2. if you have 2 computers you only need 1 router, depending on the router you buy routers will come with 4 connections (meaning that you can connect up to 4 computers)

You need to buy a wirless router. You can have one computer connected to the router using the cable they will provide, and for the other computer you need to buy a wireless card or USB adapter, inorder to recieve the wireless signals. Or if you want both computers wireless, you need to buy to of the wireless cards or USB adapter,whichever one suits you best.
And you do not need to change your package. Since you are using NTL which is on cable, you need a cable router.
A good name to go for is Netgear, and spending around £80 is reasonable that would provide you with good service.
The link below shows the cable router which comes with the USB wireless reciever.

It will run off any type of broadband.
Here is your current setup
Broadband -----> Computer
Adding a wireless router your new setup would be this...
Broadband ------> Wireless Router --------> Computer 1 and Computer 2

1. WIFI will work with any broadband, but some providers have talked about blocking more then one IP address from any one device. With most routers though the IP is translated so you don't have to worry about that.
2. Most home based wifi routers can handle up to 4 different computers, but there really isn't a limit.

No you do not need to change service. Just get a router that has wireless ability and you can use many computers on it. Most even have 4 ports to hard wire computers that don't have wireless.

Same package, you would just need a wireless router. Both computers would connect to the same router.

You would not need to change provider. You would only need one router but both computers would be required to have wireless cards. (Unless you are hardwiring one into the back of the router.)
