would you stay married to your second husband (a fruitcake) who is financially stable (married 5 years) so as not to change the standard of living for your children? I ask this because my mom left my dad (financially stable) FOR a bum when i was a kid

I personally would not stay with either one of them the fruitcake or the bum .I know this is hard do you understand why she did this ? If not then ask her this must still be bothering you after alot of years . Maybe you should see a therapist obviously this is something that is bothering you and you should let it out . Well if she wasn't happy in her marriage the right thing was to leave but going for a bum doesn't sound right either. However it is over so I guess you need to just let it go and try not to repeat your parents mistakes.
