would you stay married to your second husband (a fruitcake) who is financially stable (married 5 years) so as not to change the standard of living for your children? I ask this because my mom left my dad (financially stable) FOR a bum when i was a kid

I personally would not stay with either one of them the fruitcake or the bum .I know this is hard do you understand why she did this ? If not then ask her this must still be bothering you after alot of years . Maybe you should see a therapist obviously this is something that is bothering you and you should let it out . I hope I helped .good luck.

I wouldn't marry a fruitcake, financially stable or not.

I left an abusive bum for a financially stable sweetheart. Hopes that makes you feel better.

I would go with the person who makes me and my kids happiest, fruitcake or bum.

Well if she wasn't happy in her marriage the right thing was to leave but going for a bum doesn't sound right either. However it is over so I guess you need to just let it go and try not to repeat your parents mistakes.
