no...it is usually state law that you get a lunch so you have to take it. Sometimes the employer will let you take a half hour and pay you for the other half hour, but it is up to them because it would probably be overtime at that point.

Most companies do not pay for breaks especially if you punch out. Although there are a small percentage of companies that will pay you during your break like a small business. My friend's job pays her but it is a small family owned place.
