Mine were all a little big and then my baby was a little big. I think it depends on the dr.

Other factors could be if your baby measured normal and then you developed diabetes, the baby would grow faster and when the baby was born he/she was big.....maybe...

The very day my son was born I had a final ultrasound. In fact I was already in labor. They told us he MIGHT weight as much as a full 7 pounds. He was born 4 hours later weighing 9 pounds 3 ounces. Big difference I think.

My weights were almost exact. Based on two separate ultrasounds at 32 and 36 weeks, we expected and 8 1/2 pound baby. That's what we had!

I was hospitalized with pre-eclampsia for the last 4 weeks of my twin pregnancy and was getting ultrasounds twice a week and each time they showed the boys about 2 oz apart. My final ultrasound the day before delivery had them both over 6 lbs. They came out 4.13 and 5.3. Much different than what we were expecting.

I have six and they were all off by at least 6 ounces! The last trimester it is so squished in there that it is very hard to get correct weights down. They were off one one of my twins by 1 1/2 lbs!! It was more accurate to take my guesstimate and more and less it! Parents magazine just had an article that said mothers were the best predicters of their baby's weight! We carry it!

Ultrasounds are not accurate at all. I had an ultrasound a week before my due date and they told me my baby was going to be 9lbs, a week later she was born at 7lbs 19oz. When I was being induced, the nurse told me that the ultrasounds are not always right, as a lady was just in there who was told her baby was going to be 7lbs from the ultrasound and her baby was born at 10lbs.

Nope it was right on, they said between 8.5 and 9 lbs and my daughter was 8 lbs and 14 ounces. They told my friend between 8 lbs and 8.5 lbs and her daughter was a little over at 8 lbs and 11 ounces. My sister was always within the range too, but I don't remember the exacts. Good Luck though!!

no mine was pretty good they gain a average of half a pound a week in the last 4 weeks (i hope im not mistaken by saying that if i am sorry) so it really depends on your ultrasound ..mine were about 7oz bigger then what i was told and the other one was smaller

Not me, but my sis had twins 5 months ago, they estimated the babies to be about 2 pounds heavier than they each were, delivered her at 36 weeks and one of them had to spend a week in the NICU.
