I had my tubes burned and clipped before I met my husband( they have been that way for 4 years now) Now my husband and I want to have a baby. Is there any way I can get pregnant? Special medication? Special doctors to see? Or any "special" positions me and my husband should do? Any special foods to eat to make me more fertile?

OK I think my answer will give you hope but you have to understand every one is different. and if you have faith in god their is light at the end of the tunnel. OK I had my tubes clipped and burned back in 97 in FL It was done different on each side I did not request that I had very bad health insurance then and the Dr. that did my surgery was teaching on me I came to find out any how in 2004 my current husband and I decided we want to have a baby of our own and we wanted to have it the natural god's way or we don't need it . So I started going to Dr. in NY once we moved here Dr. shahine he had requested all copy's and sent me for so many test's to see how much damage is done and if its possible it took me 7 month and then he gave me the hope after running some tests on my husband too to make sure that we are not going to waste our money and once every thing was answered it was up to us. I found out from some of the tests I had that I had dermouid tumor in the uturs which I did not know any thing about and needed to have that removed . Dr. shahine scheduled me for surgery finally in 2005 and I could not affor it then we had to reschedual once we were able to and I had my surgery in june of 2006. I just had another test done to see if my tubes are open and functioion normal and the results were good we were just givin the green light to start trying to have a baby this is only my start of second month trying and we are not sweating it untill it happens when god allow's it pls don't think any thing is impossible if you have faith in god he never let's you down good luck. let me know.

Uuuuum, are you for real? Do you seriously think that taking a pill or eating something will magically reopen your tubes? Did they not explain this to you when they sterilized you?
Do you not realize that for you to get pregnant, your tube has to pick up your egg off your ovary, and then sperm have to journey through the crevix and your uterus and meet your egg in the tube, and then the fertilized egg, now an embryo, has to get back into your uterus and implant? How can that possibly do that with the tubes tied (cauterized)? The sperm can't get to the egg, and the egg couldn't get to the uterus.
If you don't realize all of that, perhaps you should not procreate. I'm sorry to be rude, but I can't fathom that a woman would be so out of touch with her body, especially when she chose to have her tubes tied to begin with.
To officially answer your question - you would either have to have a reversal or do IVF. A reversal is very expensive and risky. You risk an ectopic pregnancy - when the embryos implants in the tube instead of the uterus.
With IVF, they stimulate you to make lots of eggs, take the eggs out, put them in a petrie dish, add your husband's sperm, and place back the fertlized embryos a few days later.
I'm still shaking my head thinking that a woman would honestly believe a tubal ligation will reverse simply by taking a pill or changing her diet...

Why did you get your tubes clipped? That's a pretty big choice to make. There is a reason you didn't want anymore children. You should consider your reasoning before bringing another child into this world.
I actually think you are lying about this. If you really had this procedure done you would KNOW (as DR's give you a TON of information about it and make sure you know and accept everything, AND sign papers accepting and acknowledging you can no longer concieve children naturally).
I really think you should reconsider as you decided on your own 4 years ago you didn't want more children.

If your tubes are sealed off there is no way for a sperm and egg to reach each other. You need to talk to your doctor and ask if this can be reversed. I've heard that women who have had their tubes tied can have it reversed but I don't know about those who have had them clipped and burned.

There's a girl on answers get rid of an unwanted pregnancy, maybe she can help. Or untie your tubes, which is expensive, and it may not work, but it's an available option. Good Luck!
